Yet it is easier to learn speaking Spanish if you already know English.
I was Production Supervisor of a manufacturing company in a suburb of Chicago in 1973. Most of the factory workers were Mexicans. Owner asked me one day that being Pakistani you speak pretty good English, how many more languages you can speak. I said in addition to English I speak three languages of Pakistan and one language of India. He was amazed and then he asked if I could learn to speak Spanish. I said yes learning languages is easy for me because our languages teach us to produce every sound a human can possibly produce from his tongue. He sent me to private language school called Berlitz schools of languages. He paid 12 dollars per hours in 1973 though he didn’t pay that much being a Supervisor. I went two hours a day to that and started talking spanish in six weeks. They assigned one teacher to me one student only. Teacher taught me how to make sentences. If I didn’t know a word for some object I simply asked any worker in Spanish showing them the object “como se dese esta cosa” and I leanred new words of object every day and this is how I developed my vocubalary in Spanish language working with Mexicans. In few years I started translating the words of Owner of company when he assembled all workers to say them some thing.
It will not be as easy for you as it was for me because Arabic language doesn’t have alphabet for many sounds like you say Bakistan to Pakistan. You say Aable to Apple etc. I see some Palestinian owners of their grocery stores speaking Spanish fluently in Southern California where I live. They learned spanish in south America where their father had grocery stores before. Going to school in south America in child hood and growing up there made it very easy for his all brothers to learn to speak Spanish fluently. I learned Spanish living in America when I was 30 years old. At home and in Pakistani gatherings I spoke our mother tongue with my wife and friends. So nothing helped me learned Spanish except the teacher in language school and Spanish workers in factory.

Once you start learning phrases in Spanish you will quickly realize that you do need to learn more than just specific phrases and that it would be better for you to learn all facets of the language. There are many sites online that offer full courses in Spanish that won’t cost you nay money and which you can take at home. Through these courses, you will learn the Spanish alphabet and the sounds of the letters as well as how to conjugate verbs to make grammatically correct sentences. The language is easy to learn and some of the vocabulary is quite similar to English words. Once you start learning Spanish and have some knowledge of the language, when you spend some time in a Spanish speaking country or in the company of native Spanish speakers, you will easily pick up the language. Immersing yourself in the culture and the language is one of the easiest ways to learn any second language, no matter how old you are. As you hear others around you using the language, you will start to pick out words that you know and you will learn how they should be pronounced if you are not doing so correctly. You do have to determine how you learn best. Maybe you are a person that likes to have images with which you can associate words and phrases. Learning Spanish in Mexico
I had originally figured the act of immersing myself in Mexico would teach me Spanish through the process of osmosis; an involuntary movement of information from people who know something in the direction of those who don’t.
I figured the step would be relatively easy considering I’d be surrounded by Mexicans and the Latin way of life, which I envisioned symbolized by a nice array of chilies and sombreros; the type you might see in the lobby of a Mexican restaurant.
But upon arriving in Tulum and checking in a Tulum hotel, Mexico and being rendered speechless for approximately six weeks, my fantasies were proven just that, unrealistic.
I’d been told that Mexicans speak slowly compared to a number of other Spanish-speaking demographics of the world, but roughly six million times a day I could vouch personally that the velocity at which they deliver their cryptic language was near the speed of light.
Slowly, I started to pick up hispanic nuances that not even my high school Spanish teacher had cared to share, and my lingual prowess came to resemble that of a baby; speaking in short, syncopated words, and using erratic hand gestures as backup.
Mexicans tended to look at me the way you might a talking cod, as if they couldn’t believe the words that were seeping so effortlessly out of my mouth.
Spanish in Tulum is not impossible to conquer, but expecting it to be a piece of cheese cake as I did can get you off on the wrong foot, and honestly, I know many other foreigners who picked up the language far faster than I did; a feat that, in hindsight, could not have been all that difficult.
